Mason takes New York!

Fathers Day weekend we took a trip to NY to visit family that Mason had not met yet. We left on Tuesday night and stopped in VA in order to break up the trip. When I made the hotel reservations I specifically asked for a crib and they said they had them.  Well when we checked in they said that specific hotel doesn't have cribs! So Mase got to sleep on the pull out couch.  I couldn't help but capture this.....it was so funny!

Friday was my mom and step fathers 15th wedding anniversary so we went to Nicks for dinner. This is a must stop every time we go to Binghamton.  Here is Mason sitting with us at the table.

Wednesday morning we headed to Binghamton for the weekend. Mason got to meet his Great Grandparents, Great Aunts and Uncles and Second cousins! On Saturday we had a cookout at my moms house to celebrate fathers day.  My Aunt Kelly came from Maryland and Kurt's Aunt Claudette, Uncle Kerry, and cousin Sky Noelle came from Oneonta to visit Mason. Skye who is 7 asked if she could have Mason for 1 day! So cute!  Before everyone got to my moms house Kurt took Mason in the pool to cool off!!  He seemed to like the water!  Here are some pictures from Saturday.

On Sunday we went to my Dads house for a Fathers Day cookout. My grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins came to meet Mason.  It was a gorgeous day, which was rare in upstate Ny. We all had a good time and everyone loved Mason. Here are some pics from the picnic.

Mason's First Vacation

Last weekend we went to Litchfield Beach in South Carolina. We stayed at the Litchfield Golf and Beach Resort which is about 20 minutes from Myrtle Beach. It was our first time at this beach and we LOVED it. It was very laid back and not busy! The beach was beautiful.  I wasnt sure how Mason was going to handle the sun and heat so I was a little nervous. He was great. He laid on the beach in his SPF tent and had a blast. He didnt cry at all while we were at the beach. He even went down to the ocean and got his feet in the water and sand. He's gonna be a beach boy for sure!

Here are some pictures from the vacation.

Headed to the beach.

Andrew and Lindsay came with us for the weekend to celebrate his 25th birthday. We had to get back to Charlotte Sunday night but we were able to go to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville for lunch on his bday.  We all had such a good time this will probably become a yearly trip to the beach!

Monthly Pictures

On Tuesday Mason was 2 months old already! He is getting sooooo big! He is turning into such a little piglet. I called the doctor this week cause he was drinking 5 ounces every 2.5 hours and acting like he was starving. They suggested that we add some rice cereal to his bottles.  We have started adding cereal this week.  He sleeps a little longer at night but still is hungry every 3 hours during the day!!!

Here are monthly pictures to see how much he has grown!

The day he came home from the hospital.

Mason's Christening

We finally got our computer back yesterday so I can access my pictures and up date our blog!!!! Memorial Day weekend Mason was baptized at St. Marks Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. It was a great weekend! The weather was perfect - a little hot but no rain!!! We had lots of family around all weekend long. After the baptism we had a cookout (with the BGE of course) at our house! The pulled pork was a hit - as usual - way to go babe! Below are some pictures of the baptism.

All ready to go in my white outfit! This was my godfathers baptism outfit 25 years ago!

5 Weeks Old!

It is hard to believe that Mason is already been here 5 weeks! We have been so busy with visitors I havent had a chance to post new pictures.  I need to be better at taking pictures when people come to visit us!  Everyone else takes the pictures and I end up with none of them :(. My Mom and Tom were here for the first three weeks after Mason was born. We didnt get to do much since the doctor advised us to not go to public places for 4 weeks. Daddy was very strict about this!  I got "in trouble" for taking him to the salon while we got our eyebrows waxed.  LOL.  He thought the "fumes" were going to be bad for Mason!  LOL.  During the three weeks we went out to dinner a couple times and sat outside so that people were not hovering over the baby.  He slept every time he was out of the house.  He loves to be pushed in the stroller and the car ride always puts him to sleep.

Here is Uncle Andrew holding Mason while we waited for  table for breakfast on my Moms birthday.
 Daddy and Mason watching sports.
Out and about in his stroller.

Our friends Chris and Amanda Slater stopped by to visit with their two kids. Alexa was so cute and wanted to hold the baby.  Here are some pictures from their visit.

Last week my Dad and Jean came down to visit.  We were now "allowed" out of the house so we were out and about during their visit.  We went out to breakfast (my favorite thing to do when guest come to visit) and dinner during their stay.  Again Mason was such a good boy.  All he did was sleep in his seat! I didnt take many pictures while they were here. I will have to make up for it when they are back in a couple weeks.

Here is the first (I think) picture of us as a family!  We had the professional ones done but this is the first candid picture of all of us.

Here is Mason rocking his shades before we went out to dinner.
Mason also had visits from two of his great grandmas.  Megan, soon to be god mamma, and Brayden also came to visit.  We all went out to dinner at Cantina for Cinco de Mayo!  It was yummy.  Here are pics of Mason and his great grandmas.
