Welcome and Thank You!

We would like to welcome and thank you all for taking the time and interest in our blog which is designed to allow everyone to stay abreast with everything that is going on with what is sure to be a very busy and joyous time in our lives. We intend on keeping this as up to date as necessary with the kind of information (cliche included) that would interest all of you. The more participation, the better, so feel free to ask questions or make comments and we will respond as quickly as possible. Both of us will be adding posts and responding to comments. I'm sure it will be fairly easy to determine who wrote what based on the "lingo". Thanks again and we look forward to hearing from everybody.

Cant' Sit Still

So, the last couple of weeks I have been very antsy around the house. Kurt is working night shift so when I get home from work I have to keep busy or I will go crazy. There has been nothing exciting on TV so I decided to start doing stuff in Mason's room.  Well since the nursery is pretty much done I had to find something else to kill time.  I started washing all of his clothes!  LOL.  Yes, I am only 30 weeks along but I figured I might as well get a head start.  Now I just need to hope I don't end up having a BIG baby otherwise a lot of these clothes won't even get worn.  Here are some pictures of his closet. He takes after his mother in the clothing department. Kurt always complains about the tiny space he gets for his clothes (and the fact that his work clothes have to go in the guest closet), well once his son gets here he might have to hang his stuff in the garage!  LOL.  Here are some pictures of Mason's closet.  Oh and don't for get his shoes.....he already has 4 pair of shoes and some slippers!!!  Now thats just like his father!

                                        Sneaks.....Adidas Superstars, Nike Shox, LBJs

Here are a few of the top outfits....

                                                                       Mini Kurt....
He has all his favorite teams covered......

One day he will be mad at us for making him wear this crap......

Kurts favorite outfit.....mini dirty denim jeans

All set for his trip to Hawaii in October......

Smitty always has to know what is going on........

Once I finished washing all his clothes (all 4 loads of them) I moved onto what will eventually be his playroom.  Right now it is an office but it never gets used for anything.  Kurt has been nagging at me to clean it out so that it can become a playroom.  So this weekend I went to Target and bought some of those rubbermaid bins and started getting stuff ready to be stored in the attic.  The closet is now empty which is a HUGE accomplishment.  Next step moving out all the office furniture......I'll save that one for a weekend Kurt is off!

Nursery Update

We have some new additions to the nursery we wanted to share with everyone.  This past week we received the rocking chair (which is my favorite), the book rack and the bedding. We spent the weekend getting it all together in the room.  We also added a picture of little leaguers that Kurt had when he was a kid. The Little Tykes Sportscenter was a Christmas gift from Grandpa Mastro (who forgot to include batteries but we will let this one slide as everyone is still learning)! LOL

The nursery is almost complete.  We are going to add a ceiling fan an area rug and maybe some more things on the wall.  We will post more pictures soon.

Things are still going great!  Time is going a lot faster than I could have imagine.  I almost 27 weeks along. We started planning the baby showers which has been a lot of fun. Can't wait to celebrate Baby Mason (and of course Big Baby Kurt's 30th birthday...LOL). We have a lot to look forward to the next couple months.

Nursery Pics

Today Mason's furniture was delivered.  I had never actually seen the pieces we ordered in person so I was a little nervous about it being exactly what we wanted.....I LOVE IT!  It looks great in his room.  We are still waiting for the glider chair to be delivered but that won't be till sometime in January. Right now we just have the crib and changing table unit.  After the holidays are over we will start decorating!!!  Below are pictures of the pieces we got today.  Also, Kurt hung his name on the wall....Nice job Babe!!!

Things have still been going great! We have had a busy couple of weeks traveling around NC. This past weekend we had a few holiday parties which were lots of fun. The baby has been really active the last couple of weeks. Right now he is only a little "papaya" but he can sure move around.  I am not looking forward to the months he is a "watermelon" bouncing around in there!

I am pretty sure he is going to have eating habits just like his parents.  LOL.  I was traveling last week for work and accidentally ate some mustard on a chicken pita for lunch one day.  For those of you that know me well, I am sure you are thinking "how did she eat that without vomiting?" Well, I felt like crap the rest of the afternoon and the baby was kicking around a lot.  It was the first time this whole pregnancy that I actually didn't feel good. I think it was Mason's way of telling me he would prefer his sandwiches with NO CONDIMENTS!!!!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Beginning of the Nursery

I am now almost 20 weeks along - half way there - Woooohooo! I think I have started to feel the baby move but since this is my first experience I am not really sure if it is him or not.  With the holidays right around the corner we have started planning the nursery as we will be really busy with family and friends the next couple months. The last couple weekends we had the bedroom painted. It turned out great!  Here are some pictures of what it looks like before the furniture.

His name will eventually be hung on the wall once we get the furniture in there.

Since we haven't mentioned our first baby on the blog yet I figured I would add a picture today since it is his 2nd birthday!  Happy Birthday Smitty!!!!

It's A Boy! Mason Jordan Johnson!

It's official, Baby "J" is a boy! As a father of course, I am extremely excited about having a son to carry on the Johnson name. Obviously, Jackie is too, although her friends and family had her convinced she was having a little girl. The Johnson side of the family is especially excited because the last 6 children have been girls and a baby boy will be a nice change for the male cousins. I was able to get a little shopping done today after we found out the gender and as one might expect, the outfits involve drinking and MJ23. These are a couple of them. Look out ladies, there's a baby Kurt on the way...

Baby J's First Outfit

Of course no child of mine will go without some Yankee gear.  The Braves outfit retired along with Bobby Cox last night.
