Masons First Day of School

On April 2 Mason started going to The Goddard School twice a week for half days. At first he was not a happy camper but he quickly warmed up to the idea of being at school with other kids. It is such a great program and I can already tell he loves being there each week. The teachers do lots of things with the kids to help them learn and the best part for Mason is they get to go outside multiple times a day. He loves to be outside!!! Every day we get a sheet telling us what they did that day!  I would love to be a fly on the wall to see some of these activities. Mason doesn't sit still very long so I highly doubt he is participating in yoga poses! LOL Here are some pictures of his first day!  His book bag weighed more than he did!

I am so glad we found this school for Mason. He gets to play with kids his age and learn lots of great things!!!!!

Mason Turns 1!!!

I am so behind on updating this blog! Busy life with a one year old!!! Mason turned 1 on April 7. We had a lot of family down from NY to help us celebrate. It was a very busy weekend as it was the Saturday before Easter. We had a party for him with lots of family and friends and it was great! I spent months searching online for ideas to make it perfect! I love doing things like this but don't have a ton of free time to do it.  Pinterest was were I found most of the ideas!!!  I love that site!  I went with a Dr. Seuss theme which was so much fun! Here are some pictures from the party below.

Favors - blue and red popcorn, chocolate bars and books for the kiddos.

 Masons monthly pictures!

 Green Eggs and Ham!

M&Ms with Masons picture on them!

The party was so much fun and Mason got lots of goodies! He is such a lucky little boy!  He really enjoyed eating his cake outside on the deck. Here are a few pics of the action!

A couple weeks before the party with met with our favorite photographer, Nicole Faby, to get his last picture session. This year went by so fast and it is so sad we won't have regular professional pictures taken!  Here are a few of the awesome pictures. We had them taken in Raleigh and ended the afternoon with a Gigis cupcake!

I am so grateful we met Nicole and have such awesome pictures throughout Masons first year!  While we were in Raleigh for the photo session we went to visit my cousin Megan who just had a baby boy, Landon. Mason loved him! He wanted to just pick him up! LOL It was so cute!!

Landon was such a cutie and hardly cried the whole time we were there!  April was a busy month for sure! Lots of family in town which was great! We love having visitors! They made Masons day extra special!

9 months old

This past weekend was Mason's 9 month birthday! We went to Raleigh to visit my cousin Megan and her family. We had such great weather.  Then Sunday we had family pictures taken. I will post them as soon as we get the disk! I saw a sneak preview and they were great! The morning before we left I had to take my monthly sticker picture. They are getting so hard to take. He doesn't sit still!!!!  I had to post all of these cause I just LOVE the facial expressions!

Mom, are you serious with this?
Oh My Gosh I am gonna fall!

 EEEEEKKKK

We went to the doctor today and everything is great! He is a peanut but is growing at the same pace! He is a whooping 17 pounds. Hahahahaha.  She couldn't believe he was already walking. Oh yeah forgot to mention that.....he can take up to 5 steps at a time. It is so cute. Give him about a week of practice and he will be GONE!!!!! I am about to have my hands full for real! Only bad news was that he is probably going to need braces when he is older. His two front teeth have a pretty decent gap!!  I guess he has some big gums so they probably won't get pushed together by his other teeth.  Oh well we will do whatever we have to cause I do not want a mini Michael Strahan running around! LOL.

Tonight was the National Championship game. My Aunt Karen is a big fan and buys Mason all kinds of Bama gear.  He went to the doctor all decked out in his Crimson Tide gear. Hat, shirt, socks, and sneaks! All thanks to Aunt Karen. Everyone at the doctor thought it was the cutest thing. Good thing we didn't have any Tiger fans there!!!  Aunt Karen also got Kurt and I Bama gear for Christmas. Here is our family Bama pic!

Good Luck Alabama!  Roll Tide Roll!!!
