Vist from Aunt Karen

Last weekend Aunt Karen and Uncle Dan came to visit. We were supposed to go to the Redskins / Panthers game but we ended up not being able to find cheap tickets. Oh well we still had a lot of fun with all of our other activities for the weekend.

We went out to dinner friday night. Mason had this visor from Nana that everyone thought was so funny so we decided to have him wear it to dinner. He was so cute! he looked like a little poker player!

Saturday we woke up very early and drove to Raleigh for the day. We were having Mason's 6 month pictures taken at Duke gardens. See next post for a preview of the pictures. After the pictures we went to the pumpkin farm. There aren't really any big pumpkin farms in Charlotte so we figured while we were there we might as well hit up one of the well known ones in Raleigh. Kurt said it was stupid cause Mason was so young but I insisted on bringing him to one for his first Halloween. We went to Ganyard Farms. They had hay rides, corn maizes, petting zoo and much more! Mason decided to be stubborn that afternoon and would not look at the camera for anything! Most of the pictures below are of the top of his head or side of his face. Oh well - better luck next year!

Here we are at the entrance to the farm!

Hmmmm what is this hay stuff taste like?
Great Aunt Karen and Mase trying to find their way through the corn maize.
Hayride...On the way back Mason stood at the front of the tracker and just watched the wheels!

This was not the petting zoo. Haha.  They had real goats too!
 Picking out his pumpkin!

After the pumpkin farm we stopped at the big mall on the way home to Charlotte. Karen, Mason, and I went shopping and the boys went to a sports bar to drink beer and watch college football. It was a great time had by all!!!!

Ever since college football season started Karen has been sending Mason shirts to wear on Saturdays. Her and Dan are Alabama fans. Since Kurt and I don't really have a college football team we were ok with Mason adopting the Crimson Tide as his team. Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Mason will be all set for the big game next weekend against LSU!
